Okay, so I've joined this women's gym not far from where I live. I like that they are cheap and close and they offer a lot of classes every week, like pilates, yoga, and kickboxing. I had my first appointment with a trainer yesterday. She took my measurements and showed me how to work the cardio machines. I also have an appointment with her tomorrow to learn weight training.
My personal plan is to work out 3-5x/week, with 45-55 minutes of cardio and do the weight training every other workout. I did the cardio exercises yesterday and today. The Precor elliptical trainer (had to look that one up on the site) kicked my ass but the treadmill and bike weren't bad. I also did some ab exercises that the trainer showed me. I'm so proud of myself. :) I just need to keep it up.
I'm going to post my measurements so that I can chart my progress over the next few months.

Body Fat Percentage: 26.6% (eek!)
Yikes, I have my work cut out for me.
I'll post about non-gym stuff later tonight. I need to go pick up the apartment now since we're having company in about an hour. It's Halo 2 night. :)
