Well, I started to write a long post about the past couple of weeks, but then Mozilla froze up and I lost everything. So, I will sum up and post pictures. I went to Detroit for a friend's wedding last weekend, I had a job interview (a real one where I wore my interview suit), and I have a cold. That's about it. :)
From 37,000 feet
These are a couple of sights I saw on the way from the airport to the hotel. I didn't actually take them until we were leaving on Sunday, but pretend they were taken on the opposite side of the road. Or pretend I'm British. Cheers, mate. There's a good lad.
Ooo, a giant tire! Exciting!
This strange bridge looked like a giant blue bug squatting over the road.
Or maybe one of those things from War of the Worlds. How uncanny.
The bride and groom
Aww, aren't we cute? Still, I need a haircut.
I love candid shots the best. This is another couple of our friends.
Most of them live in Houston so we don't get to see them too often.
I love this photo! The hobbit was getting a little dance
from one of the ushers. That slut.
It was a nice reception. Unfortunately, the hobbit had really hurt his knee earlier in the evening so he wasn't really up for dancing. And the walk through the airport was a lot of fun the next day. What a slowpoke. :)
All I saw of Memphis during the 30-minute layover.
Well, that and a lot of kitschy Elvis souvenirs. Ugh.
That's about it. The boy has been on crutches so I've been taking care of him while nursing my own cold. The interview I had last Monday went pretty well. I had to do an online thing to test my Microsoft Office skills. I got a 90%, so not too bad. I hope I get a callback. I have been waiting for a job like this to come along.
