6:55 I thought I would blog about the Academy Awards as I watched them. This may or may not keep me interested throughout the whole show. We'll see.
7:04 I wouldn't mind waking up next to George Clooney. Jon Stewart is one lucky bastard. :) Don't tell the hobbit...
7:16 I wish Nicole Kidman would quit wearing white. She is all one shade right now. Speaking as one pale girl to another, you need some color. Back with the red hair, Nicole! You were stunning with it.
7:19 Go George Clooney! Nice speech, funny and relevant.
7:29 I'm glad King Kong won for visual effects. I cared more for that damn realistic ape than I did for any of the actors in the movie.
7:32 Reese Witherspoon looks good. She pulls off the all-cream-color-look better than Nicole. No typhoid look there.
7:35 Geez, another blonde in a pale dress, a really ugly one at that.
7:36 I just asked the hobbit if Dolly's knockers still looked good even though she was a geriatric. He said he would have to see them naked first. There must be bare tit before he would suffer any wild allegations. We are a classy couple, I tell ya.
7:43 Luke Wilson is looking bloated. I actually prefer Owen right now, even with that freaky nose.
7:52 I do love Russell Crowe's accent. I remember my friend Melissa saw an interview where he happened to say, "Ty-ga" (tiger). She would quote that and give a little shiver days afterward. :)
8:01 Jon Stewart is really sucking. I wasn't expecting a laugh riot, but wow, this is bad.
8:02 Another ugly dress on Rachel McAdams. I think I saw the same thing at Forever 21 last week.
8:07 Rachel Weisz looks fantastic and fat. Just kidding. I'm glad she won. That was the only movie mentioned for Best Supporting Actress that I have seen. Frances McDormand looked like shit from what I've seen of her in the audience. Surely the Academy Awards warrants a shower, at the very least.
8:10 Commercial break but I am having quite a bit of fun ripping into the outfits of these celebrities. I'm usually pretty sweet, I swear!
8:17 God dust! I love it. That is the funniest bit of the show yet. That damn Charlize hagging it up. I'll be happy if Reese or Keira win. That reminds me, I need to buy the Pride and Prejudice DVD...
8:21 The hag is up now. :) I'm glad that she is less orange this time around, but what is up with that big-ass bow on her shoulder? It is like a second head.
8:23 Why did the camera show Morgan Freeman? I'm guessing it was a screw-up since he looked pretty damn surprised.
8:25 Bird York's "Into the Deep" is pretty but I got tired of it quick. I almost put it on a mix CD but it didn't make the final cut for that reason.
8:30 I love those Career Builder monkeys. That one with the chimp lighting a cigar with a dollar bill is comedic gold. Those simians are upstaging Jon Stewart.
8:32 Whoa, it's Keanu! Sandra Bullock looks pretty good. There is something a little off about her hair though.
8:35 I'm glad Memoirs is winning all of the visual categories. That movie was incredibly beautiful. Alas, I had to enjoy it alone since the hobbit refused to go with me to see this "chick flick."
8:45 Salma Hayek looks gorgeous as usual. Her dress makes one of her jugs look smaller than the other though. The boy agrees that this is a crime against humanity.
8:50 Am I the only one that thinks of the phrase "the beast with two backs" when I hear Brokeback Mountain?
8:55 I'm starting to get tired. Time to get some caffeine in me and enjoy some of the official sponsor of the Cooper apartment-viewing of The 78th Academy Awards, Milkduds.
9:00 Jessica Alba is up. My brother and every other hot-blooded male in America is now paying attention. Coincidentally, the hobbit has returned to the living room. Hmmm...
9:04 Meryl Streep has been nominated 13 times?! According to the boy: "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride." Heh.
9:11 "Suicide is painless, it brings on many changes..." Sorry, that MASH song will now be going through my head all night. Pretty depressing lyrics. Look up the Manic Street Preacher's version, it's very good.
9:15 Cool, a commercial with M. Night Shyamalan. Welcome to my world (I write stories with a supernatural, horror bent to them. I am looking for creepy instances everywhere). I like the other American Express one with Kate Winslet too. The commercials are more entertaining than the awards show at the moment.
9:29 I like Jennifer Garner a lot. She seems like a really sweet person, even if she is married to King Douche.
9:45 Hilary Swank presenting now. I'm glad she didn't get nominated for anything. I am a little tired of her and Charlize Theron always getting nominated. Also, I haven't seen Capote, but Philip Seymor Hoffman's voice must have been grating throughout it.
9:47 Ugh, didn't see that one coming. I hate that gimmicky shit that the critics always love, like Cate Blanchett in The Aviator and Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man. Still, I do like Hoffman (Philip). He's been in many good roles so at least he is finally being recognized.
10:00 Yay! I was rooting for Reese.
10:12 Has Ang Lee been forgiven for The Hulk yet? I think so.
10:13 Uma starring as another blonde wearing cream. Her dark eye makeup looks very stark in contrast.
10:14 Did anyone else catch that Crash guy barely pat Matt Dillon as he walked by and yet he lunged at Charlize Theron? Hilarious. I guess he had to take his chance while he had it.
10:19 I hope Tom Hanks's icky hair is for a role.
10:20 Well, I'm not surprised Ang Lee won Best Director after the screenplay win. Will Brokeback Mountain get Best Picture now? "I wish I knew how to quit you." I've been wanting to use that quote all night. :)
10:24 Wow, I didn't expect Crash to win Best Picture. Great movie. I am really tired of that song now though. Did they just play Best Picture off the stage? That's bad.
Good night, all. This is my longest post in a very long while. I'm traveling home on Wednesday and will finally have my camera equipment. There will finally be pictures here again. Too bad Mom's cookbook didn't make it though.
