Okay, I knew my garden needed a little help, but I think I got more than I could handle. My friend recommended this seaweed/molasses solution that you dilute and spray over the plants. I sprayed them two days before leaving to visit family for a few days. This is what I came back to...
As of April 29th.
And it hasn't stopped growing either...
Today, May 5. It's getting a bit unruly.
Unfortunately, the weeds are growing just as fast. This is the rose bed right now.
It kind of reminds me of that Stephen King moss man segment of Creepshow. Anyone remember that?
I need to get me some overalls like that. Then I'll be a real farmer.
Speaking of, check out what I've "harvested" so far.
Some of the most delicious, juiciest strawberries ever. Maybe I'm biased.
I really feel proud of myself for growing food. It feels different to grow something useful instead of merely pretty. I'm obsessed with my little garden, often checking on it, tenderly stroking the little fruits of my labor. (That sounded dirty. Don't tell the boy.) Anyway, anyone want some cilantro or Italian parsley? They'll whisper dirty sweet nothings in your ear at night. Wait, what?
Anyway...I also bought this awesome chesterfield sofa. Yeah, it's a little dirty (there's that word again) and the seat is ripped, but I am sure I can fix it up. We're moving it into the study this weekend.
Uh, that's not our garage. I swear.
Time for bed. I actually have work in the morning. Whoo!
