I finally took pictures of the bathroom. Jimmy hasn't moved his toilettries in there yet, but I'm sure it looks better without his deodorant and electric razor cluttering up the place, so I went with it. All right, enough with the foreplay...
Ze throne. I do like the clean lines of this toilet since it makes cleaning a breeze. This picture also shows the crappy tile in the shower area but replacement of those will be for another day (or the next homeowners).
The window above the toilet. The geode slice that the candle is resting on hangs off the windowsill a bit. Let's hope Jimmy doesn't send it flying like he did with the potted orchid that used to live up there (R.I.P.)
There you have it. No major remodeling was done to the bathroom, but I think we definitely improved it functionally (towel racks that don't fall off the wall, crown molding that is actually sealed) as well as aesthetically. Most importantly, it feels like ours now, instead of us just living in someone else's home. As soon as we re-do the guest bathroom, we'll have painted every room in the house and it will be a complete reflection of us.
I think I'll let us live with two bathrooms for a few weeks before tackling the guest bathroom. It will be nice not to have to fight over the sink and mirror for a little while, at least.
