I'm really bad about remembering to post these in time. These past couple of months have been very exciting. We found out we were having a boy and I started to feel him moving. I've been putting on a little more weight but not too much, about 15 lbs total the last time I checked. I mostly feel the same except for the gigantic belly I now have. I'm still not used to it. I'm constantly spilling on myself and popping the car door against my belly when I close it (not hard, don't worry). Oh, and my belly button is almost an outie now. It's actually kind of cute, much better than the gaping maw it was when it first started to flatten out.
We haven't picked a name yet. There is one that I'm mostly settled on, but Jimmy isn't on board completely. I hope he'll come around because I really love it and I've started to call the baby that name in my head. We also haven't done much with the nursery yet. I'm waiting until next month to paint and start switching the furniture around. My mom is planning to come visit to help and she'll be bringing the crib I used when I was a baby. We also have a tiny little rocking chair that was Jimmy's. It needs a little love and paint to fix it up, but I love that we'll each have something from our childhoods in the baby's room.
I took a screenshot from the video that the doctor made for us. I would just post the video, but it has my name all over it and I wouldn't want to put that on a public website. The baby was being stubborn about his position so there wasn't a real good shot of him. He was upside down and facing my spine, apparently. Anyway, here he is...
I finally bought my first maternity clothes (as seen in the 24 week photo). Although they technically aren't maternity clothes. I just bought some regular clothes from Old Navy one size larger than normal and made sure they were loosely-cut. The cargo pants have a cloth band and a drawstring, so I'm hoping to wear them throughout the entire pregnancy and after too.
I hope to remember to post a pregnancy bump next month on time. Everything should start to accelerate in the next few weeks. Jimmy and I are taking the childbirth class next week and the nursery should start coming along soon. I'm excited to have the nursery, even though it will be vacant for awhile. It will be nice to have a place to visit and think about our future.
**Edit: This is my 100th post. Yay! My first post was on May 26, 2005 back when I was 23 years old.
