Something has happened to make my heart race with excitement. They have...opened a new mall! The Shops of La Cantera have stores that have never been in San Antonio before: Apple, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Tiffany's. Ah, I can't wait to go tomorrow! Unfortunately, I just spent a bunch of money at Northstar Mall for a wedding that is coming up this weekend, so I can't really go shopping. Still, it will be fun to look. After days of shopping, I finally found a gray dress I liked, but I had to get it in the next largest size because there weren't very many. Of course, it looked fine in the dressing room but was way too big at home. So, I'm going to check the Foley's at La Cantera to see if they have my size and if not, I guess I'm still looking.
Here is another possibility from Nordstrom:
Purdy. And it matches the gray shoes I've already bought.
Ahh, bliss. A dress, 2 pairs of shoes, and make-up.
All in a day's work.
Cutie sneaks. (June got into every damn shot)
The hobbit was gone over the weekend so I was by myself for the first time in San Antonio. I decided to keep busy so I wouldn't miss him too much. So, basically lots of shopping, time spent in bookstores, and I went and saw a movie by myself for the first time ever. I wanted to see the In Her Shoes sneak preview but of course they had sold out by the time I got there. So, I bought a later showing for An Unfinished Life. Apparently 9:45pm on a Saturday night is a good time to watch a drama by yourself. There were only 4 other people in the theater and 2 of them were by themselves also. It wasn't a bad movie either. I just didn't buy J. Lo as a poor waitress with her perfect highlights and make-up. Everyone else was fantastic though, even the kid.
Yesterday was my 3-year anniversary with the hobbit. We didn't go do anything since we're both broke with the upcoming wedding, but we spent a nice quiet evening at home and he made dinner. We'll go out once we get back from Detroit and have a nice dinner somewhere romantic.
Well, I'm going to finish up Love Story (sappy but classic and I love Ali McGraw's style) on cable and go play Call of Duty. I'll need to go to bed early to rest up for shopping tomorrow. :)
